2010, I Bid Thee Farewell

I wrote this as a comment on Facebook, but I loved it so much that I thought it was worthy of it’s own blog post.

We live in a society where we’ve created a bunch of fictional entities and we give them credit to what goes on in our lives, whether it’s good or bad so that we don’t blame ourselves. I’m not saying that’s either good or bad, if you need to blame 2010 to feel good about yourself then go ahead and do it!

For me to become a better person however I think I need to acknowledge that there is no difference between 2010 and 2011. If I don’t change myself or the people around me, then I’ll be sitting at this moment next year on my laptop writing, “OMG 2011 YOU SUCKED SO BAD I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO END, 2012 HERE I COME I HOPE YOU BRING ME COTTON CANDY AND PROMISCUOUS WOMEN.”
